Clara has chosen the 1985 recording of Handel: Oboe Concertos:

Earlier this year, I had the special privilege of being able to work with Trevor Pinnock for the first time for my first solo performance of one of these Handel oboe concertos.

During the rehearsal days I had the opportunity to speak with Trevor, who shared with me some wonderful stories and personal memories from years ago, speaking movingly of other oboists with whom he had worked, and in particular of David Reichenberg, with whom he recorded the same concerto in 1985. 

This music, both simple and profoundly beautiful, will always remind me of these moments, which I will cherish in my memory.”
