We are privileged to share the Wigmore Hall stage with one of our favourite artists, countertenor Iestyn Davies, to help him celebrate his fortieth birthday. Led from the harpsichord by our founding director Trevor Pinnock, the programme includes a selection of Iestyn’s favourite arias from Handel’s opera Agrippina, as well as the exquisite ‘May at last my weary age’ from L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato.
The party is rounded off with Handel’s sparkling fifth concerto grosso from his much-loved Op 6 collection. Join us for what is sure to be an unforgettable occasion with one of the world’s greatest singers.
At the peak of his interpretative powers . . . a sublime voice . . . and superb artistry.
