When, where and what did you play the first time with the English Concert?
It was a Proms concert in Royal Albert Hall in 2006. Mozart’s version of Handel’s Alexander’s Feast. Conductor was Andrew Manze
What has been your most memorable TEC concert and why?
I’m always enjoying our concerts in Carnegie Hall. Great acoustics and enthusiastic audience.
What’s one of your favourite pieces of music and why?
17th century melancholy is something special I really like. It makes an appearance in English and German consort and vocal music and truly moves me.
Do you have a secret interest or hobby that would surprise people?
Birdwatching – but that’s probably not that surprising.
