Have you ever wanted to have a one to one session with one of The English Concert musicians? starting out professionally and would like some advice on how they’ve made it? Would you like some advice on how to get started playing on gut strings or historical wind and brass instruments?
Now is the time! During the Coronavirus lockdown our musicians are available to you. Most of our players are respected professors in leading European conservatoires and are now able to share their knowledge and time with our audience.
You will find the application form below
Is this available to everyone? Yes!
What instruments do you offer classes on? Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Horn, Oboe, Flute and Harpsichord.
How long do sessions last? 20-40 mins
Do I need any previous experience on period instruments? It would help, but it is not a requirement. Tell us about you and what you’d like to work on on the form below.
What equipment do I need? You will need a computer, ipad or similar tablet, or a phone. These need to have a camera and microphone that can connect to Zoom meetings.
How much does it cost? The scheme is made possible through the generous support of The English Concert in America and many individuals. It is provided free of charge but if you feel you are able to make a donation, we would naturally welcome your support. We also hope you can send some feedback so we can share it with those that have contributed to our musicians’ fund without whom this initiative would be impossible.
