The Big Give Christmas Challenge
The bean-counters have been hard at work over the weekend, with an abacus under each arm, and the results are now in!
This year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge was aimed at bringing our new staging of Handel’s Messiah to audiences in London and across the UK. Amidst a flurry of donations the original target to raise £25,000 was left behind in the dust. Thanks to the enormous generosity of our friends around the globe, we surpassed our goal and raised a whopping £35,000.
From all of us at The English Concert you have our most profound thanks. It is because of the continued support of such loyal members, some of which have been supporters for the entire 43-year life of the orchestra, that we are still able to forge ahead with ambitious projects and appear in the greatest venues across the globe.
